Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: June 8, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) sets out what is and isn't allowed on Spoon Hire. It applies to everyone — candidates, recruiters and companies. Breaching it may lead to suspension or removal.

1. Be honest and lawful

Provide truthful information. Don't impersonate anyone, misrepresent your identity or company, post roles that don't exist, or use Spoon Hire for anything unlawful.

2. Hire and apply fairly

Don't discriminate on the basis of protected characteristics. Don't use the platform to harass, intimidate, or retaliate against candidates or staff. Roles must be genuine opportunities with lawful terms.

3. Protect candidate data

Candidate contact details are revealed only after a paid connect, and only for legitimate recruiting for the role in question. Don't scrape, resell, or repurpose candidate data, or use it for marketing or any purpose beyond the hiring process you connected for.

4. Don't abuse the system

No automated scraping, credential sharing, attempts to bypass paywalls or rate limits, reverse-engineering, probing security, or interfering with the AI interview, tests, or scoring (including attempts to game or manipulate results).

5. Keep content clean

Don't upload malware, illegal content, or material that infringes others' rights. Job posts and profiles must be free of offensive or misleading content.

6. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and suspend or terminate access. Serious or illegal abuse may be reported to the relevant authorities.
